But I couldn't stand the coloring so I re-did it with influences from this beautiful painting [link]

I imagine this average, could-be-anyone suicidal man who has an innocent wish that if he one day jumps he'll find he can actually fly (if he just believes), and that discovery alone will give him the joy to keep living.
At the same time though, I think the fact that the angels are already waiting for him doesn't bode very well to his fate--but you never know until you try, right?
